The Omani Society for Educational Technology (OSET) is a non-profit national organization that was established in 2007 by the ministerial decree 39/2007. The vision of the society is to advance educational technology in Oman by developing strategies that would realize the planning, implementation, and successful application of educational technology through utilization of technical skills and resources of governmental and private educational organizations, and individuals and experts in the field of educational technology. 

OSET is currently located in Muscat, but its zone of activities cover the entire Sultanate as its members are from all regions of the Sultanate of Oman.


 
 

 

Goals:

OSET aims are to:

  1. Conduct research and field studies on the influence of education technology on education in Oman.

  2. Contribute to the development and advancement of education in the Sultanate and provide service
    to the community in this area.

  3. Support scholars and parishioners in the field of educational technology by developing their skills
    through professional development programs, and endorsing their
    participation and contribution to
    the field.

  4. Stay current with the state-of-the-art educational technology and reflect an up-to-date
    understanding and awareness of the continuous development in the dynamic field of educational
    technology.

  5. Establish relations with similar organizations locally and globally.
